Sorry for taking so long to give you news.
The good news is that everything was arranged, the bad is that it does not happen by itself.
You can not imagine how many times I thought about us poor parents and children without any real support. You can not imagine how I am furious to tell me a little more each day that many children with disabilities are left out simply because their parents are illiterate, careless, in denial, uninformed, non-existent or overwhelmed by approaches too tedious for them.
You can not imagine the militancy needed to get any result against the inertia of an institution where the dysfunction, rather than the unwillingness of individuals, that things are moving very slowly. I found gaps in the incredible communication between different departments responsible for education of handicapped children, then himself each of my interlocutors was showing the best will in the world.
I also noticed that some people have no choice than to ease compliance with the law, and unless we were informed about the rights Rosa, had sent a letter expressing very clearly our intention to sue if we had not heard, nothing would have changed, they would have waited politely end the school year without worrying about repercussions far educational and psychological, of the absence of AVS during the last 3 months of the school year. I read many testimonials from parents of children whose AVS had not been replaced. Few of these parents knew they could sue for this kind of litigation. Our
pugnacity paid towards the end of May AVS was replaced by a woman very well, which allowed Rosa to spend the final assessments in good conditions and confirmed their academic progress in bringing us excellent results. It happens in CM1.
I draw once again my hat to his teacher, which is definitely love my husband because he continued to teach brilliantly alone for nearly two months in a class of two levels and Rosa, who is a teaching load extra special.
We made the necessary arrangements in time for it continues to benefit from AVS next year, but as Now I swear to nothing, I'll tell you in September. His teacher has prepared a complete file that will provide the teacher that will Toutebelle next year, but as he remains in the same school and he understands how to work with our daughter I know that the transition will be fine.
I am happy for my daughter, if you knew ... it is flourishing as never before, she has renewed confidence in her, has many friends who come to the house and in which it is invited. She shines, regain confidence in her and for the first time in years we apprehend over its future. Thank
to all and happy holidays!
